Hi there! My name is Roger Teran, and I am from the beautiful country of El Salvador. I strongly believe that “software is eating the world“. It has yet to do so in Latin America, but it surely will. Long term, I hope to accelerate that change.
In the meantime, I am soaking up as much as I can from passionate technology entrepreneurs in the United States. I am currently an Associate at the Techstars Barclays Accelerator, where I support fintech founders on several fronts: from sales management to customer development, distribution strategies, internal metrics/projections, and investor pitching.
I’m a recent MBA grad of Columbia University where I focused my studies on strategy, entrepreneurship, and technology. I complemented my business education by learning to program across the entire stack at General Assembly. I also worked during the school year at FinTech Collective, a venture capital firm focused on innovation in financial services.
Before bschool, I worked in a private equity and management consulting firm based in Costa Rica called Mesoamerica. I started my career supporting Central American entrepreneurs through a business accelerator and micro-VC called Agora.
